Just made it. Had to stop a few times to tend to Rachel, but she was a trooper. Stopped in Bedford to fill a couple prescriptions. Just got through with the tour of everything I’ve done while she was gone. It’s SO good to have her home!

We are in the car and I am taking my girls home with me! This has been a long time coming but we are glad it is here! They gave rachel pain medicine for the trip home and a nurse will be meeting us there to help us get set up with the pump.

we are up to 30 ml/hour her iv is down to 10 ml so when she gets to 40 ml on her feed (6 hours) the iv should stop if she tolerates it. Her goal before going home is 56 ml/hour!
she goes up 5ml every 3 hours

Just heard from Becka they changed her pain medicine – no more itching! She seems very comfortable and when she whimpers they give her more. She’s taking a nap right now, but so far so good. No word on if they’ve tried any feeding yet…
